Hairy Situation

It's been seven weeks and the hair that grew in while I was pregnant hasn't fallen out, yet. I don't know what to do with thick hair. Advice? Ideas? Those of you who have had your hair change on you, what did you do to figure out how to style it?

Get a haircut. I finally found someone who knows how to cut my hair and a good haircut can solve many a bad hair day.

I have fine/thin hair but I need mine thinned (or whatever the term is) so that it will curl.

If you are brave you could try a shorter hairstyle just to see if you like it.

Good Luck.

Marin (and her thick hair) to the rescue! Does it feel thick & heavy or just long? Because if its thick, then getting a haircut won't help, shorter hair looks & feels thicker. Unless of course you can go to someone who thins it out (which I do now about once a year), but if you do that, make sure they don't just thin the back, but also the sides, or it feels wierd.

As for styles, I usually like a half up or a low ponytail, or if I'm being really grungy, pigtails or braided pigtails. Of course everyone's hair is different, so play around with what feels best for you! Good luck!

My hair used to be ultra-fine, too, and I wore it short for years because it was the only way to get it to look good. It's a little long, now, and Jonathan wants me to grow it out. I don't mind growing it out, especially if I can get it to stay put now (the clip I wore all day yesterday would have slid out in 10 seconds last year) but most of my clips and hair bands are designed for fine hair and don't fit anymore. Plus, I just don't know what to do with it since it's never done anything before.

not trying to be a downer, but it will come out, my thicker pregnancy hair started falling out when Blaine was a year old...so enjoy it while you have it!

OR, maybe you are ones of those lucky ladies & it is here to stay...that would be cool.

How about a picture of the new "do"?
